Jan 8, Danny Davis wins first of two Grand Prix events at Mammoth

I am in Mammoth right now in between the 2 Half Pipe Olympic Qualifiers being held here by the United States Snowboard Association. It has been incredible. The snowboarding tricks that have been thrown down during the past week are truely incredible.

Frontside 1080 double corks, cab 1080 double corks, switch double Back flips, and the list goes on. My whole life I have loving doing and watching snowboarding tricks and the new surge in level of the tricks has really been exciting.

Check out Danny Davis and his winning run from the first event.
Half Pipe event #2 start tomorrow.

Dec 22, Super Slow Mo of an amazing contest winning run
by Shaun White

This run is incredible and has a cool flow that progresses from top to bottom. Starting out with a Frontside Air, into a huge Backside 540, Frontside 720, cab 1080 double cork, then a frontide 1080 double cork. The whole run is huge and smooth. Notice how rough that sunny, slushy wall is and how he just carries his speed through the roughness and blast out of the pipe. Sick Shaun, Sick!

Dec 22, Double Corks and High Tech Tricks

Snowboarding has gone so crazy lately. Thie level of riding has moved rapidly from incredible to video game. Now, tricks that we were doing on coolboarders 12 years ago are actually happening on the snow. Remember that coolboarders half pipe that had like 40 foot transitions? Well, it is not quite there but at 20 plus feet deep the sky is truely the limit.

In this Video clip find Kiwi ripper Ben Stewart doing 2 of my favorite things. Spinning ally-opp and doing a double cork 1260. Very awesome. Can't wait to see what the Olympics Half Pipe event brings.
